Twenty years in broadcast will teach you one thing fast: most video "problems" clients bring to me aren't creative problems. They're partner problems. Someone hired based on price, or a nice-looking Instagram reel, and got burned when the actual event or shoot day arrived. So before you sign anyone for your next corporate video or live-streamed conference in Dublin, here's what actually matters.
There's a real difference between someone who's edited wedding videos and someone who's run live AV for a 300-person conference where the stream cannot drop, the audio cannot cut out, and there's no "we'll fix it in post" safety net. Ask upfront: what's the turnaround, what's included in revisions, and who's actually doing the edit.

If a company can't tell you their backup plan on the spot, they haven't run enough live events yet.
